Responsiblities
There are many different responsibilities for teachers at the elementary grade level. They must teach students all of there basic subjects. They subjects consist of reading, writing, math, science, social studies, and the basics of health and physical education courses. Making sure students succeed in this subjects is crucial for the rest of there years in school.
Another responsibility is to be aware of the general development of each of the students changes. They are developing at this time and some students may have trouble dealing with the changes. This can greatly affect there education and that is what teachers need to oversee with the students school work. This can be a very challenging task.

A Rewarding Career
I have talked and observed many elementary school teachers. They all have told me that there career is very rewarding. Seeing the kids faces everyday and seeing when they understand something is one of the best feelings. You are with the same children everyday and they start to become like family to you. You want the best for all of them. Watching them grow up and become adults while they are in high school is very rewarding.
Knowing that it is up to you to mold the students to the way they are going to be when they grow up is very scary. If it all works out and they achieve success you feel as if you were a part of something great for that students. All teachers want the best for their students and will do anything to get them there.

Lesson Plans
To teacher elementary education you will need lesson plans. Everyday the teacher will have a different lesson plan of what they are going to do that day. The lesson plan will be a step by step process of how the day will go. For example, teaching the math lesson then switch to reading and so on.There will obviously be time where the teacher will have to go off the lesson plan and change topics because the students are becoming impatient. Lesson plans are a great way to get everything you want done and timing how long everything will take.
Lesson Plans can also be a way to get the students interested and on a schedule. Students like to know what they are going to be doing. If you know the lesson will only take five minutes to teach then you can plan a game to play after and all the students will get excited. They will feel as if they are being rewarded for being good students.
